Hey Y’all, I know it’s late for Sweet Thursday but I had to squeeze this recipe in before the day is over. You will be bombarded with dessert recipes over the next couple weeks as I count down to my Thanksgiving feast. Here is one pie that will definitely be on the dessert table, Pe- Can Pie. As we like to say in the south. Make sure you pronounce the “Can” like a can of green beans. I have two recipes for Pecan Pie and I will share them both during the holidays. Sweet Dreams.

#pecan pie

Ingredients:
1 cup pecans
1 cup sugar
4 large eggs
3 tbs. melted butter
1 tbs. vanilla extract
1 cup Karo syrup (light)
1 unbaked pie shell

Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium bowl, beat eggs until light blended, add sugar, syrup butter and vanilla beat until smooth. Pour into the pie shell and bake and lower oven temperature to 350 degrees once you place the pie in the oven. Bake for 45 minutes or until center is firm.
