I’m celebrating the 50th Vol. of Wednesday’s Closet Tips! Thanks to you for loving this series and encouraging me to keep posting tips from my closet. When I started this series, I had no idea it would be so well received. I’m the first to admit that I’m far from being a Fashionista! I just love mixing and matching my wardrobe to create a style that fits me.
There are so many fashion bloggers in the blog world who have amazing blogs with the latest trends in fashion and I follow lots of them for inspiration. I’m not big on

Spending a lot of money on fashion so I try to purchase clothing and accessories that are timeless. I shop any and everywhere for my look. Don’t be surprised to catch me at a garage sale, thrift store or Neiman Marcus. Okay, maybe not Neiman’s but Nordstrom’s. Recently, I visited my niece who just had her first baby. I’m in love y’all! Anyhowse, my niece was itching to go shopping so we went to one of her favorite stores, Forever 21!

I’d never been in this store and for good reason, the name was all I needed to know, to keep me from popping in, but I was following her lead. To my surprise, I found this dress that my niece talked me into trying on.

It fit and for $9.99, I knew I could work with the style and cut of the dress. For me to feel more comfortable, I added this white tunic which covered my extra curves.

Now, this is more me! I don’t like showing all my junk in the trunk!!! Perhaps if I were 21, I wouldn’t care but I’m almost 3 times that number!

The dress is navy and white so I paired these red sandals for a red, white and blue color combination. Cute huh?!

Loreal cosmetics has lots of spring and summer colors for your lips and I love this one.

With my arm candy and these adorable lapis earrings, a present from my friend Malka, I’m ready for the day.
