I’m so excited to share today’s Wednesday’s Closet Tips and the fabulous gala the hubs and I attended last weekend. Our friends invited us to join them for an evening of pomp and circumstance at least that’s what I call being surrounded by movie stars and famous entertainers. I knew this soiree would be spectacular once I read

The black tie requirement so I headed to one of my favorite clothing consignment shops to find the perfect formal on a “real” tight budget. Occasions to wear formal attire come few and far between for me so having a closet full of formal dresses is not one of my fashion must haves but I knew I needed a dress that would ignite oohs and aahs!…

so when I spotted this designer taffeta cape for $20 bucks I crossed my fingers and toes in hopes that it would fit.

Then I rambled awhile longer and found the perfect after five dress with beading across the bodice and a sleeveless form fitting cut for $20…Omgoodness! $40.00 for two designer dresses, the stars and moon aligned perfectly, just for me.

I already owned these satin rhinestone sandals and they matched my new used Neiman Marcus evening bag from an estate sale for $1.00.

I carried this fan for those hot flashes that are evermore present these days and of course, plenty of arm candy and a glitzy statement ring.

Clothing consignment shops have plenty of formal wear at ridiculously low prices. Some never worn or nearly new. Shop consignment first, you may find the perfect evening attire for a bargain!

Until next time,

Enjoy!
