I host Thanksgiving for my entire family so there’s no time or energy left in me to think about anything merry, especially after cooking for my clan but with much needed rest and rejuvenation, I finally

Finished decorating for the holidays…Today! I hope you are joining me after visiting Kate at Chic On A Shoestring Decorating. Kate has great style and she loves creating spaces which allows her imagination to sore. Last week I shared my Hot Station aka coffee station and today, let’s head into my dining room.

Since I’m not expecting dinner guest for Christmas, I created this centerpiece using lots of fruit.
#fruitcenterpiecedisplay
I love using fruit in my décor, it’s fresh, frugal and festive and for the holidays, it’s a must. I used these acorns, pinecones and rustic candle holders in my Thanksgiving tablescape.

Tip: Fall décor can also be used throughout the holiday season.

There’s nothing like the smell of a fresh cut tree so to capture this aroma, I headed out back to the forest and gathered greens to add to my centerpiece. Now it smells like Christmas in the dining room. Tip: Check your local grocer for fresh cut greens to add the sweet smell of the holiday season.

Candles are another way to add cheer to your holiday décor.

This orange and clove candle from Amara’s holiday collection is scented with a beautiful spicy aroma and smells amazing even when it’s not burning. Amara has a wonderful selection of holiday scented candles, tree trimmings and a large variety of home décor to accent your home.

These wooden Christmas trees from Hobby Lobby are simple and elegant. I love how they remind me of a winter wonderland.

I kept my mantel minimal with these two flocked mini Christmas trees from T J Maxx. I added garland from my garland stash in the attic. The pine cones and berries add another layer of rustic décor.

I love traditional colors for the holidays. As a matter of fact, I love color so when SmithHonig agreed to be one of the sponsors for The Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour, I was super excited. I had a difficult time choosing a fabric from the SmithHonig collection of fabrics and wall coverings. I wanted a pillow in every pattern but I finally settled on this one and isn’t she a beauty?!

These pillows boast every color in the rainbow and I love using them throughout my home. Along with their textiles, SmithHonig offers home décor, art and interiors from around the globe.
(Amara and SmithHonig provided me with free products for this post but all opinions, images and thoughts are my very own. I have also added some affiliate links for your convenience.)
Here is a sneak peek of my entry for next week so be sure to join us here on Wednesday, December 13th for Part 3 of Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour.
