It seems only a few short months ago, I sat down to reflect on 2016 and set goals for this year. With only a few days before we celebrate the New Year, I feel there’s no better time than now to thank you for encouraging me to bring you my best and supporting my blog and brand. I am passionate about providing you with inspiration, tips and ways to create your own lifestyle on a slim budget. You, make this possible with your kind words and continuous engagement in MjonesStyle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

To continue to bring you great content that is worthy of your precious time. Let’s start at the beginning of 2017 and reflect on the last twelve months of the blog and a few inserts of my life that I have not shared.

Hanging out in my kitchen is another passion of mine. I love sharing recipes with you, especially easy peasy ones. Here are a few recipes I shared throughout the year and the printable recipe card is attached to each link below so be sure and print a card for your recipe box.

I was so fortunate to have several of my blogger buddies join me for my Kitchen Keeping Series where we got to peek into their kitchens, asked crazy questions and collect a few of their famous recipes.

I love re-arranging furnishings and adding new thrift finds to my décor each season, I did just that with a refresh of our master bedroom and outdoor living areas. My master closet makeover reveal is still the highlight of my décor so far. You guys joined me on the journey to making my dream closet and I’m still in love with every little detail.

A trip to Round Top, Texas Antiques Fair has become a tradition and for the past three years I’ve joined my friends for a girls weekend get-a-way to the Texas Hill Country. I’m already planning this years trip and can’t wait to see what goodies I’ll find along the way.

Before I knew it, October came and my long awaited Vintage Flea Market took center stage. I worked so hard to pull it off that I hardly had time to blog. The flea market was a huge success and plans are in place to host my 2nd show in October 2018.

You know I can’t keep a secret and it was all I could do to keep from spilling the beans about our new online Bath and Body Shop which is now open and the orders are rolling in. Our soaps and solid lotions are  handcrafted and loaded with organic products and essential oils.  OMgoodness! I can’t thank you enough for giving our products rave reviews. Our marketing department has several plans for 2018 so stay tuned for more mjonesstyle bath and body.

You guys know I host Thanksgiving for my entire family and by the time everyone clears my home, I’m totally exhausted but I can’t even take a deep breath because I participate in The Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour hosted by Shelly at Confetti Style. The tour starts the Wednesday after Thanksgiving and runs for three consecutive weeks. This tour is one of the highlights of my holiday season and I look forward to sharing all the homes with you.

Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour
In between all the blogging there is life and mine was filled with happy and sad times. 2017 brought the birth of our newest nephew, our eighth annual Celebration of Life party(my hubby is a two time cancer survivor) the return of my son, the loss of my dear brother, the loss of jobs, home and transportation for family members and the list goes on. All I can say is…but God! There is always a reason to celebrate because his grace is sufficient!

Until next time,

Enjoy!
