I think every retail operation tried to up their sales on President’s Day! I was so tempted to fill my cart with sale items from my favorite online shops but I somehow controlled the urge especially after going through my mail and finding not one but three invitations to weddings and baby showers.

I stayed the course and purchased only the items I needed to fill my party list and saved my coins for a few hours of thrift shopping in hopes that I would find some scores. Lucky me, I did and I’m opening the treasure chest today.

You guys know I have a fetish for tchotchke’s (aka…junk by non collector’s) but I promised myself that I would only bring home the really, really cute ones that will be used for purposes other than being “cute!”

These blush pink pretties with gold trim were fifty cents each. They jumped into my cart before I could think twice. They are super feminine and perfect for holding jewelry.

I placed my stackable rings in one and my wedding ring in the other.

I know, I don’t need anymore milk glass unless it is hobnail and drop dead gorgeous so when I spotted this pedestal vase, I really didn’t get excited but I’m so nosy I just wanted to see the price and darn it, that blue an white sticker read $1.99 and it was 50 percent off day so my office got a new piece of milk glass.

I switched out my other pen and pencil holder for this vase. I do love the bright and cheerful addition it adds to my desk.

While I was playing around in my closet, I remembered that I hadn’t shared one of my most treasured thrift finds. This pewter jewelry holder with royal velvet lining, sits on the chest of drawers in my closet.

The price was more than I wanted to spend at $20 bucks but I knew it was well worth it and more. It’s Tiffany & Co and it’s a beauty.

I keep my Tiffany bracelet here and the lining and lid protects the bracelet from tarnishing. I’ll be thrifting again and sharing more treasure chest reveals, soon.
