We are already a few days into March and I’ve been away at a conference so I haven’t had a chance to remind you that I will be celebrating all month. The first day of Spring is officially my birthday or have I told you this already? Ha! Today, I’m sharing a few of my “old” favorite things and

I’m always on the lookout for a new fragrance but I am such a snob when it comes to perfume.

It’s hard for me to break away from my all time favorite, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Parfum. I’ve been wearing this fragrance for years and it never fails to please my nose and everyone I come in contact with. I swear, this perfume and my chemistry have a love affair once they connect. I’ve researched the perfume to find out the notes and flowers used in the formula so that when I’m shopping for  perfume, I know what works with my chemistry. Here are the notes that make this perfume an all time favorite for me.

Top notes: orange, bergamot, mandarin, Tunisian curaçao
Middle notes: morning rose, Italian jasmine, ylang-ylang, mimosa, florentine iris
Base notes: Indonesian patchouli, Haitian vetiver, Bourbon vanilla, white musk, opoponax, tonka bean

Tip: If you are in the market for a new fragrance, research the notes of your favorite fragrance first . Your nose will thank you.

My nails grow really fast which is a good thing but long nails get on my nerves so I like to keep my nails short and since I have long nail beds, my nails look longer than they appear. My two favorite nail colors are OPI- Champagne for Breakfast, a silver glitter with a rough texture and Loreal- Wishful Pinking, a soft blush pink (image and link at the end of this post).

Nail companies really know how to name a tiny bottle of paint…right?! I seldom get a professional manicure and when I do, it’s a real treat so I keep a supply of manicure products on hand for those days when I don’t want to pay $20 bucks for a manicure.  OPI discontinued my favorite color but I’ve found a replacement with glitter and the rough texture I love called, Ornament To Be Together.

I think the added glitter helps the polish last longer than cream nail polish.

Don’t you love how hotels use white sheets and towels?

I used to be afraid of purchasing white sheets until I thought about why I was hesitant. Mmmmm, If I’m afraid I will see the dirt, what was I thinking??? I started using white sheets after I found this recipe on YouTube and I love how my white sheets come out clean, bright and crisp. These white sheets are amazing.

Recipe for White Sheets– (one set of sheets)
A sink of hot water
1/4 cup baking soda
2 tablespoons of Dish liquid soap
Juice from one fresh squeezed lemon
Directions:
Add baking soda, vinegar and lemon juice to the water. submerge sheets into the water making sure the sheets are covered. Allow the sheets to soak in this solution for 30 minutes. Wring out sheets and add them to your washer. Wash on regular cycle, warm water.

I’ll be back with more of my favorites later this month. Have a great week.

Until next time,

Enjoy!
