I hope your Monday morning started out on the right side of the bed. I sure could use one more day to relax after my busy weekend but there’s nothing two cups of coffee can’t fix.
Thank you for commenting on Friday’s post, Master Bathroom Refresh. I took a long soak in the tub and added some Epsom salt for my aching bones. Did you notice I didn’t mention the weather on the last two post including my new series Mjones Saturday Musings?! I really wanted to update you on the WINTER April we’re still having so I’m sneaking this update in this post!
My thrifting plans for the weekend changed after I checked the weather but since I’m a #thriftaolic, I always have something in my treasure chest to share. You guys know I love collecting milk glass and I have a small collection of milk glass vases from my thrifting excursions. During the Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour I discovered these vases make perfect candle holders and I displayed them in our entry way. Tip: Milk glass goes with every season and all décor.
I’ve been adding spring touches around the house including the mantel.
I grouped several milk glass vases together then added these breathtaking purple Iris’s from my garden to some of the vases and kept the candles in the other ones.
Another trip to my new flea market yielded this adorable vintage wood decoupage purse for $5.00!!!
I can’t believe I found such a score. These wooden painted purses with Lucite handles were very popular in the 60’s and 70’s and they are highly collectible now.
I’ve been carrying this pocketbook to church and dinner and every time I pull it out to freshen my lipstick, I get dozens of compliments. That’s the whole idea right?!
Until next time,
Enjoy!
