Y’all, I’ve been welcoming fall into our home over the past couple of weeks and the other day, I was messing around in my kitchen when my eyes were drawn towards my sitting room. All of a sudden, I had a decorating switcheroo idea!
Move the buffet to the opposite wall from where it currently resides. It sounds simple enough right? Well, once I started pushing and pulling furniture around, I soon realized I needed some help.
My buffet that I wanted so desperately to move to the other side of the room weighs a ton and wouldn’t budge not one itty bitty bit. I couldn’t even lift one side to put the moving pads underneath the legs and that’s when I solicited help from my hubby.
Let me first say that we are “not” the team couple who works on projects together without a fallout. I had to prepare myself for the argument we’d have in moving this piece of furniture. I’m gentle and careful, he’s rough and careless, a match made in heaven #giggle! I had to get this buffet moved and without his help it wasn’t happening.
After a few slow downs and wait a minutes…my buffet arrived at it’s new location and I couldn’t be more in love with how my sitting room came together without spending a dime!
I moved one of the chocolate chairs to the wall where the buffet was and placed my bar cart beside the chair.
This bamboo chest moved from the wall where the buffet now resides and I like it better in front of the windows. I added a few pumpkins on the coffee table and you can check out my post featuring my fall coffee table, here.
My favorite fall pillow landed back on my sofa this year.
I added some delicious smelling spicy candles to bring the magic to my newly designed sitting room. Have a wonderfall weekend my friend.
Until next time,
Enjoy!
