The calendar says it’s springtime and we all want winter behind us so we can style our pretty spring and summer wardrobes.

I’ve moved my winter pieces to the top and back of my closet but not too far away just in case I need to grab something to keep me toasty.

The mornings are still down right chilly and if you aren’t layering you ought to be. Texas weather is like a seesaw and without warning, that’s why I keep my warm clothes in reach and a sweater in my car!

A good tip for layering is to start with a tank top. I love Target tanks by “A New Day.” This light gray one with silver threads running through the fibers, can be dressed up or down and these tanks are good quality for only $8 bucks! The best part are the straps. They are wide and hide bra straps.

Add a long sleeve sweater or jacket that’s heavy enough to block the chill and light enough for the rise in temperatures throughout the day. Sweater dusters are my favorite sweaters lately.

I scored this one on sale at White House Black Market. It’s very stylish with three gold buttons on the sleeves and slits on the sides. Ponte pants are my go to pants, year round.

Y’all,  I’m in love with false lashes and I’ve finally mastered how to apply them in a snap. #wink! Red lipstick is always cheerful in the spring so I’ll be mixing this color “True Red” by Loreal with my pinks.

I added these vintage earrings, a birthday purchase I made while on vacation in Amsterdam. I paired them a vintage statement ring from my jewelry stash and slipped on these comfortable slides that you’ve seen me wear many times on MJones Closet Tips.

I can’t wait to add more color to my  spring OOTD in the weeks to come.

Until next time,

Enjoy!
