Thanks for all the lovely comments on the post about my facial cleansing ritual. If you missed my tips, you can check them out here. When you cleanse, apply and or remove your makeup, remember to be extra gentle with your skin. I always use an upward motion with my hands and pat my face dry with a soft towel. Sunshades are really cool but they are a girl’s best friend when it comes to preventing you from frowning and creating those extra wrinkles we all fear; so be sure to wear your sunshades while taking in some vitamin D. Lipstick or gloss is another essential to keeping those “soup coolers” nice and perky. Now, with those few tips noted, let’s talk about my quick and easy makeup “aka” war-paint, I’ve been wearing for years.

Literally, it takes me five minutes to apply my makeup for my daytime look.

I’ve tried a variety of brands and these are the ones I love to use. After cleansing and moisturizing my skin with Neutrogena fresh cleansing makeup remover and oil-free sensitive skin moisturizer, I apply Lush-Emotional Brilliance Translucent face powder with a brush. Then I fill in my eyebrows with Lancôme (Brun) eye shadow with an angled brush.

I line my eyes with Lancôme (Ebony) eyeliner. I add some color eye shadow above the eyeliner with an angled brush. Next; I coat my lashes with L’Oreal(blackest black)mascara. I apply a second coat after the first coat is dry. I dust my face with a bit of Mac-Bronzing Powder. Finally, I pick a color lipstick from the tons of choices in my makeup drawer… I love lipstick. That’s it!  I’m all made up for the day. Now, I’m off to my closet for a little mixing and matching. How do you make-up your face? I would love to hear from you and if you send me a picture; I will use it in a future post. Who knows, you may be the next super makeup model.
