I am truly amazed about the un-seasonal mild summer we are having here in Texas. History has proven by now we would have experienced weeks of 100 plus degree days and so far we have had a record breaking few. With kiddo’s headed back to school and the trees showing signs of fall, we wait in anticipation of the cooler mornings and evenings.

Fall is my favorite time of the year with the exception of spring. I love the changing of the leaves, the crisp mornings where we sit on the patio and sip French pressed coffee and watch the wildlife gather their stash for the winter months. One of the welcoming trends we Texans take pride in, is updating our door art. We love to decorate our entry doors as the seasons change with wreaths, signs and flowers. I call it door jewelry. I’ve gathered a few ideas from one of my favorite stores, William Sonoma. They offer beautiful door wreaths made from dried flowers, succulents and natural elements for all seasons. I think these fall ones are beautiful.

If you are a DIY addict, try your hand at creating your own. This simple touch to your entry door, welcomes your guest and offers a “y’all come in” greeting. I plan on making a climb up to the attic this weekend to pull out my fall décor so that I will be ready to display them on the first day of fall. I hope this inspires you to create your own beckoning sign to your entry area. Y’all come back now, yah here. 🙂

Enjoy,

MJ
