I don’t know about your plans for this Labor Day weekend, but I’ll be spending time outside. I’ve been a lazy gardener since we’ve been experiencing 100 degree temperatures here in Texas and I’ve been non-existent in my gardens as a result of the heatwave. Now that the temperatures have fallen somewhat, it’s time for a fall clean up. Funny how I rushed to the nurseries in the spring with so much energy to plant a spring show and as the season progressed, that energy ceased to exist.

From the street, our garden looks pretty good, but a closer look will reveal the weed family and all their relatives. I coaxed the hubs into manicuring our hedges a few years ago and he is still fussing because this requires three barber shop appointments a year. I’m sorry… but they really are cute as a button. #landscaping

I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend with friends and family. I’ll be back next week with more shenanigans.
