Today marks the first day of fall but it sure doesn’t feel like fall weather here in Texas. We are still sweating like Georgia Mules and experiencing 90 degree +++temperatures. I guess that’s why it’s kind of hard to get into fall decorating. I forced myself to set out a few reminders of the autumn season around our home. I like to decorate for fall by tucking a few pumpkins in strategic areas.

I don’t think it takes a lot of decor to make a statement for any holiday season. Decorating is all about what makes you happy. From the elaborate to the simplest styles; you can’t go wrong. Just surround yourself with things you love and your style will shine through.

Some of my favorite pumpkins are the Cinderella ones and the knotty gourds. I found these assorted pumpkins at Trader Joe’s. The mums were on sale at Walmart for $.99 cents each. My home is full of earth tones so autumn colors fall right into place which makes decorating for the fall, easy sneezy. Come on in and browse around my place. Make yourself a piping hot cup of spiced tea to sip on while you scroll through my “owed to the autumn season.”
