Happy October folks. The first weekend of every October marks the beginning of the flea market and craft sales high season. As a matter of fact, October is the best time to get out and shop for your Christmas list. You can find great handmade items, vintage treasures and holiday decor. The hubs and I flew into Atlanta, then drove to Knoxville, TN. Our friends were being honored by the University of Tennessee for their contributions to the school so we took this opportunity to celebrate with them and enjoy some October fun in the Smokey Mountains.

As we drove through the Foothills, we admired the beautiful fall foliage and the Smokey Mountains. Little did the hubs know or perhaps he did but was secretly hoping I’d forget to carve out some time for thrifting. When we were not snacking on KFC, I googled and found Nostalgia Vintage Market and I’m glad I did.

Nostalgia is a little vintage haven filled with great bargains. I fell in love with so many things and you will too.
Check out this cute brass based lamp I wanted to take home with me but couldn’t fit it in my overnight bag.

I had to have these vintage lizard shoes that were waiting for me and fit like a glove. These vintage knives and forks will come in handy for appetizers at my next gathering or some lucky person will received them as a Christmas gift.
