Amy, from Amy Howard Social and I, have become blogger buddies during the tour and I hope you are joining me for another cup of Java after stopping by her gorgeous home. Don’t you just love Amy’s style?
Part-3 has to be my favorite because anything goes as long as it’s Merry and Bright! Welcome back to my place and to my dining area turned keeping room.


This is where I relax, catch up on my reading and watch the deer out back. Notice I said “I” the hubs will join me for one cup of coffee and then he’s outta here like a jack rabbit. Why, you ask? Well there’s no TV here and that is an absolute deal breaker for him. Lucky me, I got to decorate without any sideliner notes from the hubs. I went REAL girly in this space. When I have my girlfriends over, we sit here and gossip chat for hours. Just about everything in this room is pre-loved or gifted by my family and friends.

This sofa was a gift from my Mama when I purchased my first home, 30 years ago and here’s my little girl, Queen Cleo sitting on her favorite throne. I had this sofa reupholstered once and it is still sturdy as a Georgia Mule. The throw on the arm of the sofa, is the only new add to this area other than the nibbles and bits. Throws are my weakness. I’m like a vampire when it comes to being hot blooded. I walk around the house wrapped in a throw. You would think I live in a colder climate.
The sofa table was an estate sale SCORE. You can read about it here. If you follow me on Instagram, you read about my vintage lamps for $20 bucks. “Oh how do I love thee lamps…let me count the ways”(Lamps only-shades sold separate). I dressed the table with some poinsettia garland.
My tea cart is another vintage find that I procrastinated about buying and spent more gas going back to claim it. Are you guilty of this too?
I have a collection of teacups and saucers from years of hosting a Christmas Tea for my friends. The Wedgewood biscuit barrel was another heart attack moment. You should have seen it before I gave it a little elbow grease.
My Christmas box collection landed on my buffet this year. I love to hide little treats inside the boxes during the holidays.
The coffee table is the perfect spot for munchies and my Christmas books.
This sweet little brass doggy was a gift from @sweetmelissah64, a vintage swap friend I met along the way.
This chair belonged to my Mama. It was blue when she gave it to me and I had it recovered in this gorgeous red to remind me of her spunky attitude. I miss her so.
