Today, it’s all about my love for the taste of lemon. Lemon is my all-time favorite flavor especially in baked goods. I’ve shared my lemon bread and lemon chess pie recipes here and here. Since it’s the holidays and lemon squares are covered with snow white powdered sugar, I thought you would love to have my recipe that I’ve been baking for years.

You know I always share easy sneezy recipes and this one is no different. Bake a batch of these mouth tingling delights for your Christmas dessert table.
They look so la di da and taste even better.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups plus 3 tablespoons unsifted flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup cold butter cut into small pieces
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup ReaLemon ( lemon Juice from concentrate
Additional powdered sugar

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of flour and 1/2 cup powdered sugar, cut in butter until crumbly. Press onto the bottom of lightly greased 13×9-inch baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine eggs, granulated sugar, baking powder, lemon juice and the remaining 3 tablespoons of flour. Mix well. Pour over baked crust. Bake 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Cut into squares/bars. Sprinkle with additional powdered sugar. Store covered in refrigerator.
