Hello my friends, whether you are ready for Christmas or still pulling things together at the last minute, just know that everything you’ve done up until now, is more than enough. Turn on the Christmas music, plug in the lights, put on some snuggly PJ’s, pour a glass of your favorite beverage and exhale. It’s time to express thanks for good health, family, friends, blessings and the best gift of all, Jesus. Today is my DIY project reveal.

During the Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour, Candi, who is the owner of the Etsy shop Welcoming Walls, partnered with our team of bloggers by generously gifting each of us with a beautiful custom, vinyl decal from her shop. We were challenged with creating a DIY project, using the decal. For those of you who know me, know that DIY and me are not bosom buddies. However, I accepted the challenge as though I didn’t have a gazillion other things on my plate.

At first, I couldn’t think of anything to create but after seeing the other bloggers ideas, I learned that I needed to attach the decal to something. Don’t laugh, I’m serious. I made a trip to Hobby Lobby and after spending an hour in the store, I ran across this chalk board wall hanging. Okay, I was on to something. If nothing else, I’d at least have a board to attach the decal. After mental exhaustion, I grabbed a couple bags of pom poms, glue and tiny ornaments, then headed home. Ta-dah…Here is my DIY project.
