Work week #2 of 2016 is about to be a wrap. I purchased my Power Ball Lotto ticket hoping that I would be flouncing into my office to say my goodbyes. Oh yes, no phone call would have been sufficient, not with a $billion duckets in my bank account. I even thought about swinging by the bank and grabbing several Ben Franklin’s just to pass around the office. Oh well, I’m sure plenty of us were hoping for the same fortune but find ourselves heading to the office this morning with big smiles and thankfulness for having a
J O B!
At least it’s the weekend and a great time to make an easy sneezy breakfast treat for your family; Sausage Balls!

A hearty meal all rolled up in a yummy ball is all you need to get your day off to a great start. This recipe has three ingredients. That’s it! The hardest part of this recipe is forming the balls. You will have enough for breakfast and to freeze for later. These Sausage Balls make great appetizers too. Have a super weekend.

Yields 22-24 balls
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground sausage (hot) I used regular for the hubs
2 1/2 cups Bisquick
10 oz. pkg. cheddar or Colby/Jack grated cheese( I used finely grated)

Directions:
Preheat oven 350 degrees. In a large bowl, break sausage up with a fork. Add other ingredients. Blend together with a masher or hands. Roll ingredients to form balls. Place desired number of balls on a cookie sheet and bake for 25 minutes or until light golden brown. Place remaining uncooked balls in a Ziploc freezer bag and store in the freezer.

Note: I placed my sausage balls on wax paper for preparation not baking.
You can bake the frozen balls right out of the freezer, just cook them a little longer.
