Happy Friday, Friends. My bottom lip is pooched out because I have to work Saturday and I’m never excited about that. I am happy it’s Friday but I will be more thrilled after 6p tomorrow. Since I have to work, I thought I’d make sure you had a little assignment to fill your Saturday. I know you didn’t ask but I feel it’s my duty to help you out a bit. Ha ha! How about some organization 101?
Even if you declutter one drawer, that’s worth two snaps and a twirl. I admit I need to be reminded of this life changing event on a regular basis and when I complete a project, I feel fantastic. I’m happy to brag, that I have completed my first declutter project this year. That’s right honey; here is my newly organized entertaining closet.

I call this space my entertaining closet because this is the closet where I store all my serving pieces and all things having to do with entertaining. I have a linen closet I shared here, on a previous post and a buffet for my china and flatware. This closet was a hot mess and I kept piling stuff on the shelves just to see how much I could cram in this space. Outta sight outta mind!

I finally bit the bullet and planned a day to organize this “crazy closet.” First, I pulled everything out of the closet and grouped like items together. I removed foreign objects, you know the ones that make there way in when company is coming and you need a quick hideaway spot.

I made a trip to The Container Store , after searching online for shelving ideas. I purchased two expandable shelves, a single shelf and a large stacking shelf , for the floor. I have lots of space from the floor to the first shelf so I knew this area was prime real estate. Here is the reveal of my newly organized entertaining closet and I still have plenty of room to add more shelving for future storage.
