The crisp fall mornings have arrived here in Texas and we welcome them with open arms. My favorite area to decorate for fall is right outside my front door and that requires a trip to the nursery. There are so many beautiful mums and pansies in multiple colors arranging from lavender, yellow and every shade of pink.  Mums mixed with pumpkins make a lovely fall vignette.  I remember pumpkins being one color and one color only, orange. That has certainly changed with the array of Enchantment pumpkins and Gourds. I’ve always said mums are worth their weight in gold, plant them in pots, when the season is over, remove the spent flowers and foliage and place the remaining plant in the ground. They are perennial and bloom in the spring and fall. You can also divide a large plant and make four small ones, yielding more flowers. Here are some inspiration pictures from my trip to the nursery. I grabbed a few pumpkins and mums to add to my fall decor. I hope this inspires you to create your own fall statement in your favorite spot at home.

Enjoy,
