I blinked and we are entering our last weekend of February. Whoa! I need a few more days before we spring into March. I guess I don’t have a say on that matter huh? I have a ton of things to do before we celebrate our niece’s wedding in April. I’m looking for the perfect dress or should I say a dress that fits. We are so excited about this wedding because we haven’t had an official wedding in the family in ages.

Kimberly, Our Bride!

Yes, we’ve had a few marriages but they have all been low key and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. We are excited because our family is packed full of (XY) genes. In other words, there are very few women in our family so this wedding is really special.

I hosted a bridal shower for my niece Kimberly, aka Kim, aka tomboy, a few weeks ago. We had so much fun and I’m thrilled to share the day with you; my extended family.

Bridal Shower Entertaining Tips:
Mail invitations four to five weeks in advance. This allows your guests ample time to plan ahead.
Plan your menu. Keep it simple.
Have the food catered. There are so many restaurants that offer delicious food without all the stress.
If you insist on cooking, select one item off the menu. I baked the Chocolate Cake and I will be sharing the video and recipe with you soon.
Solicit the bridal party to organize fund games and prizes. Give them a budget.
Make sure each guest leaves with a nominal appreciation gift.
Address “Thank You” envelopes with the names and addresses for each guest and give them to the bride. This will encourage her to send thank you notes promptly. With all a bride has on her plate, this is one less worry.
