Lucky me, my birthday is the first day of spring. Perhaps that’s why I’m not a friend of cold weather. I do love snow and all the beauty it evokes but a couple snaps of the camera and I’m back inside toasting under my throw. The hubs and I cruised to Alaska a few summers ago and one of the stops on the cruise was Victoria, British Columbia. I had longed to walk the amazing gardens at Butchart.

This was my chance to cross another item off my bucket list. I set the plans in motion to take in all the beauty that I had read about in the garden world of wonders. The history of the gardens is amazing and you can read all about the gardens here. The plans for the gardens began in 1906 by the Butchart family. Through generations of gardener’s and their love for nature; the gardens still thrive today.

We treated ourselves to High Tea at The Dining Room, a restaurant located in the gardens. It was Ah-mazing! Plan your trip to Butchart Gardens here. Enjoy all the beauty of these pics and have an almost spring weekend.
