#breadpudding
Hello April, you came fast and forgot to leave old man winter behind. I’m hoping to do some gardening this week and this old man’s worn out his welcome. Doesn’t sound like I’m much of a Gardener huh? I admit, I may not own a pair of overalls but I love playing around in my flower beds and pots and I don’t want to be bundled up while I’m digging up the earth. This is also the time of year when I try new recipes.

I open the doors to my patio while I’m in the kitchen cooking. It reminds me of my Mama’s kitchen. She always cooked with the kitchen door opened. This was her way of letting the neighbors know, the queen of soul food still had her touch in the heart of the home. The screen kept the bugs out and the aroma coming from her oven, kept us hovering around back waiting for her to pass out samples for taste testing. I loved my Mama’s bread pudding.#breadpudding
That’s no surprise! Southern folk love bread pudding! There’s something about this sweet bread that makes it comfort food haven. This recipe is a mix of different recipes including my fond memory of the ingredients my Mama used in hers and I think it’s Mmmm Good!
