Now that spring is here, I’m excited about entertaining, house guest. This is when we start planning our travel time and when our family and friends come for a visit. We love hosting overnight guest. Since we are empty nesters, we have two guest rooms unless Aaron comes by to claim his spot.

I like my guest to feel like they’ve checked into a B&B so I make a little fuss over them with flowers and a care package filled with goodies. I’ve changed the bedding for spring and summer and added a few touches to make my guest feel special. Here are some tips to create a B&B feel for your next house guest. Warning!!! They may not want to go home!

Tip: Brighten the space with light and airy linens.
Tip: Spray your linens with a lavender scented linen spray.

Tip: Fill a cute dish with a few chocolates and tea bags. Place a teapot with a cup (you can find them online.) on a tray. Don’t forget to add fresh flowers, a note pad and pen. #blueandwhite#harrodsteapot#vintagebrassbambootray#blueandwhite#bambootray#brassbambootray#harrodsteapot#brasstray
Tip: Place a garden stool or folding table in the room so your guest can put the bed tray on the table when they are ready for bed.
Tip: Let your guest know that you will heat up the tea kettle and leave it on the stove for their tea.

The guest bathroom is another place to make your guest feel welcome and I will share my guest bathroom in another post. Until then, try out your guest bedroom for a little pampering of your own.
