Friends, I tried my best to post a Wednesday’s Closet Tip yesterday but I just couldn’t get my act together after our AC went out on the bedroom side of the house. Keep in mind, we’re having 90 degree plus temperatures here. I woke up in the middle of the night sweating like a Georgia mule (I picked up this slang from a dear friend). It’s funny how I have adapted to the pleasure of AC when I grew up in a house where the AC came from a box fan sitting in the window and screen doors for ventilation. We even sat a pot of ice in front of the fan and created our own AC unit. Can anyone relate? Anyways, the Wednesday post was not happening. We still don’t have AC but I mustered up enough energy, after a glass of ice water, to share my latest thrift store find.
I found this table at Goodwill for $5 BUCKS!!! Well, actually $5 and some change.
I didn’t even wait for a helper to carry it up to the register. I grabbed the table and within minutes, I was headed home with my SCORE in tow. The color was a horrid pale pink but that didn’t phase me one bit because I knew I had the perfect color paint to breathe new life into it’s grain.
Timeless by Velvet Finishes Paint …to the rescue. This paint is my favorite paintline. The 3 step process is so simple that I even consider myself a painting pro after my first project. If you missed the Makeover Madness collaboration using Velvet Finishes, click here. You will find the 3 step process in detail along with the other bloggers and their finished projects.
My initial thought for this table, was to use it on my front porch but after the hubs eyed it’s potential for his t.v. room, I had to find the perfect space inside to validate my need for my prized possession. I squeezed it in my girly corner and that is where my “timeless” beauty resides.
I used Velvet Finishes paint for this project, however, my opinion of this product is soley my own. I have inserted affiliate links throughout this post for your pleasure. This means, if you purchase Velvet Finishes, I will make a small commission but at no additional cost to you.
