Who doesn’t love a “la ti da” tea party with scones, crumpets, finger sandwiches and mini “hoity-toity” desserts to die for? I love tea parties and I was bound and determined to experience an afternoon enjoying tea and conversation at The Peabody Hotel in Memphis TN.

If you’ve ever dreamed of putting on your Sunday best sundress, a strain of pearls and stepping into a room draped with elegance, Chez Philippe Restaurant, located in the lobby of The Peabody Hotel, is the ultimate place.

I was all excited for an afternoon of a “baby finger” workout. Reservations only y’all. I had to practically bribe the hostess to reserve a table for me and that was with a 24 hour notice.

This place is magnificent and the wait staff pours it on thick as butter with a three course meal introduction. They make you feel like a true southern lady or gentleman.

It was all I could do to keep from practicing my southern drawl in the midst of all this Tennessee hospitality. “Y honey dahling, I don’t mind if I do!” Giggle!

Every morsel was dee-lish and all made from scratch. I know, I inquired!
