Bells are ringing for back to school. Yah or Nah? For some it’s excitement and for others, it’s time to say so long summer. I was one of those kids who loved school, not because I was so studious, no sir/mam…I loved the idea of getting to hang out with my friends, participate in school activities and the smell of my new Aladdin lunch box opening for the very first time.


I guess you could say I have always loved food and my mama made sure we had plenty. Not fancy meals but hearty homemade comfort food and the first day of school was no different. Our lunch box was filled with trade worthy treats.

Lunch time should be exciting and every child deserves a healthy yummy meal to spark their energy to learn and grow.

Start with a fun lunch box and fill it with your child’s favorite sandwich, chips, fresh fruit or yogurt, a sweet treat(don’t go over board here, the teacher will thank you!) and a colorful paper straw to sip that award winning school house milk.

Place a school colored napkin inside with a love note and a attaboy sticker for a big grin.
