Hail to another summer weekend! We only have a few more weekends left and I plan on taking advantage of every “hot drop.” We’ve been entertaining all summer from back yard BBQ’s to picnics in the forest so I can’t let the summer slip away without
inviting a few of my besties over for an afternoon of tea and gossip conversation.
I love making my friends feel extra special and one way I like to spoil them is to load up my tea cart with yummy finger sandwiches, sweets and flavored beverages for us to enjoy while we catch up on each others lives.
It’s all about creating a stress free gathering. Keep it simple with finger sandwiches, easy appetizers and sweets from the bakery.
I made these ham sandwiches and cut them in half. The pesto and sun dried tomato appetizers are easy peasy.
Place slices of baguettes on a tray, drizzle with olive oil and toast in the oven for 10 minutes. Spread a dollop of pesto and top it with a sun dried tomato. These cookies are freshly baked by someone other than me. Smile! Make a pot of tea and serve hot or iced.
I added some Lindt chocolates (my favorite) and for my friend who doesn’t like chocolate, I have some fruit chews and biscotti.
Be sure to add some fresh flowers… “voila!” It’s Tea Time.
Have a super summer weekend.
