Friends, thank you for opening your mail and showering me with love and encouragement to write this blog. Knowing that my words inspire you, makes my passion for sharing my story even more special. It’s Friday, Veterans Day and a three day weekend, what more can we ask for?
I have another weekend to play around before I start my Thanksgiving cooking marathon. I host Thanksgiving dinner for my family and friends since my Sissy (trickster) passed the baton to me. Little did I know she was passing a whole lot of work, with a smile! I should have known she was up to something!!!
My Sissy lives in the Piney Woods of East Texas near our hometown. On my last visit to her country cottage, I took my camera and snapped a few lot of pics to share with you and if you missed the post on her garden, be sure to check it out here. Today I’m back with more of her adorable cottage and her living/music room.
My Sissy is a retired music teacher so her home is filled with musical instruments and fanfare. I would call my Sissy’s style eclectic with vintage, antiques and whatever mixed in.
When her six grand children come to visit, they head straight to this basket of books and a box of musical instruments just for them.
Her book shelves are filled with mystery and circumstance and in need of a little lot of tiding up so I can’t wait until my next visit to ramble through these shelves.
Have a wonderful weekend filled with fall fun.
