Ooh…It’s Christmas countdown and Rudolph asked his posse aka Reindeer Recipe Bloggers, to round up some easy recipes and sips for your holiday parties and potlucks. Thanks to my friend, Heather at Totally Tailgates, for inviting me to tag along and share a few of my favorite Christmas recipes and entertaining tips.

After baking ten pies, three cakes, a ton of side dishes, turkey, dressing, ham and brisket for Thanksgiving, all I could muster up is this totally refreshing Aperol Spritz Cocktail and it’s a good thing because you don’t want anything from my kitchen in the way of food!!! I need a serious sabbatical before I start measuring sugar and flour for my Christmas baking.

This Italian aperitif cocktail starts with prosecco wine and Aperol liqueur, a favorite during the summer months in Venice but looks so festive, it’s a must have and one of my favorites during the holidays. Aperol Spritz is low in alcohol content which allows a second sip without feeling guilty or tipsy! Pour yourself a Spritz then head on over to Gwynn at Swirls of Flavor, our next Rudolph helper on our Reindeer Recipe tour. I know Gwynn has a treat in store for us.
