Welcome to the 2nd annual Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour. Before we get this party started, there are a few rules to follow. If you are like me, you probably already jumped to the pics, but slow your role and allow me to properly introduce the creators of this awesome tour; Shelly at Confetti Style and Kellie at Design Assylum.

These two ladies have been working like Santa’s helpers and they have done a super job keeping us on track and that’s a lot of corralling especially when you have ten bloggerbees buzzing all over the country. Thank you sweet friends, you’re the best!

Pssst! We have eleven fabulous holidayholics plus me, who love to blog and can’t wait to share their merry and bright homes with you. I hope you are joining me after touring Tamyra’s beautiful home over at Positively Southern. This is our 2nd Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour and I adore Tamyra’s style.
Now with housekeeping out of the way, grab your beverage and c’mon in! When I received the invitation to join the tour this year, I knew right away I wanted to create a rustic Christmas on the patio but this is so non-traditional for me.  I love glitz and glam with lots of la-ti-da so creating a rustic scaled down Christmas was going to have me thinking outside my box.
The first thing I did was head to the forest outback and gather some nature. I combed through my Christmas stash and collected everything that had a rustic feel. Then I headed to Hobby Lobby and made a promise not to drop a $loot$ on Christmas décor even if they were having a ridiculous 50% off sale. I grabbed a few picks, this adorable Merry and Bright pillow, pine cones and two signs.
Hubby started a robust fire and we made S’mores then I grabbed a throw and snuggled up to listen to the crackling of the fire place.

Don’t forget to subscribe to my email list and you wont miss a single post of the next two tours. Now grab some snicky-snacks and head on your merry way to Kate’s crib at Chic On A Shoestring Decorating for more bright ideas.
