If you’ve been following the blog, you know that the hubs and I spent our 25th wedding anniversary in Paris. I have so much to share with you from this trip and yet there were so many things we had to forgo because of our short time there. Paris is

filled with lovely perfumeries, boutiques, flea markets, yummies and artifacts. We were there for six days and six days is simply not enough time to take in all that the city has to offer. I had such a difficult time narrowing down my must see choices but I did try to capture the Parisian life style and their beautiful city. Just in case you are joining me for the first time, check out my French perfume shopping excursion here, first course cooking class here and the famous macaroon shop Fauchon, here.

You can’t think of Paris without a vision of the Eiffel Tower stretched high above the city. We walked the picturesque grounds then enjoyed a light lunch under the tree lined park around the tower.

We devoured crème brulee and expresso in a pint size bistro around the corner from the Eiffel and while dining, we met a lovely couple from California.

We found it best to take pictures of the Eiffel Tower from a distance so we crossed the street and shot these images from there.

We hung around after our dinner cruise down the Seine River for some romantic shots after nightfall.

For a bit of history, The Eiffel was erected in 1889 for the World’s Fair and the celebration of the 100 year French Revolution. The Tower has two restaurants located on the 1st and 2nd platforms. If you want to splurge for a night out on the town, The Jules Verne located on the 2nd platform, is very pricey, as you might imagine, but offers high quality French food with  unforgettable panoramic views of Paris.

I also discovered that a Paris vacation is not what I would call a budget friendly get a way. Be prepared to open your pocketbook, after all you’re in Paris. Enjoy the unforgettable moments The City of Lights has to offer.
