I’m sharing my favorite things all month and next up is my blog. Folks often asked why I love blogging and I have to say the best thing about blogging is

The people I meet. Yuni and I have never physically met but we’ve been babbling on cyberspace for over two years and we partner with several other fabulous bloggers for our annual Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour. Not only is Yuni beautiful, she is sweet as apple pie. Yuni is one busy little honey bee! With three little crumb snatchers, a booming interior design blog and a hubby that loves home cooked meals, I crossed my fingers when I asked her to allow us to nosey around her kitchen and share some of her secrets and tips about her kitchen keeping.

Low and behold, she said “I would love to!” See, I told you she was sweet as apple pie! So before we wear out our welcome, let’s give a big “hey girlie” to Yuni and find out what she has to share with us today.

Hey Yuni,  if you could remodel your kitchen, what would you change and why?

I absolutely love my kitchen and this is the heart of our home. So much life happens in here and it’s perfect for entertaining guest with the large island. My husband and I actually did a huge DIY project by repainting our cabinets. You can find that on the blog under the DIY/projects tab. It was a huge undertaking but so worth the hard work involved. I would love to change out the countertops and backsplash but it’s hard for me to replace them due to cost and the fact that it’s still in great condition.

Your kitchen is gorgeous! You are right, this kitchen can hold a hungry crowd.

Tell us about one of your cooking “oops” you know like when you added salt instead of sugar and how you created a mess into a masterpiece.

There are many times I’ve overcooked a dessert like brownies. This is why I always have ice cream because everyone’s  happy to eat ice cream! When my brownies come out of the oven with an extra kiss of brown love, I just crush the crispy brownies and serve them as a gourmet topping with a cherry on top! “Secrets of a clever baker!”

Ice cream makes everything Alright, Alright, Alright! I had to steal my home boy, Matthew McConaughey’s line from the Oscars!

What is your signature recipe to prepare for your family and why?

I don’t know if I have a signature dish because I love to cook and bake so many different recipes. If I had to choose, I would probably have to pick my homemade chili and cornbread casserole.

Cornbread! Now you’re teasing my southern roots!

What are three yums you can’t live without in your fridge or pantry?

We can’t live without Kimchi, fresh fruit and ice cream!

You know I had to Google Kimchi and I’m a vegetable lover so I can’t wait to try some.
