When I have the time and energy but some times, I’m not in the mood to spend hours cooking and cleaning (aka) slaving over a meal that gets devoured up in seconds. This is why I make sure I have items on hand to make a robust Charcuterie Board.

How can you go wrong with a platter of a variety of cheese, meat and fruit? The French gave this meat dish the cutest name! Pronounced (“shar- koo-deree.”) Charcuterie is a mix of prepared meats, served along side flavorful cheeses, dried or fresh fruit, nuts and what ever your heart desires so I’m adding my next two Magical March favorites, my kitchen and Cheese! I’m suppose to be cutting back on my intake of cheese per the doc but one little tiny slice of Manchego Cheese won’t hurt a girl, will it? Please say you agree. Here are some tips on creating a gorgeous Charcuterie Board that’s scrumptious and easy and pie!

  • Select two to three different cheeses and cut them into different shapes.
  • Select two to three different types of meat like salami, chicken, prosciutto.
  • Add Fresh or dried fruit and nuts.
  • Arrange items on a platter making sure you place items next to each other that are opposite the color wheel.
  • Serve with an assortment of crackers for extra yum.
