I’m back for an update on my Master Closet Makeover reveal! This closet makeover is my next Magical March favorite.

I am so in love with my closet and I can’t wait to share all the details with you. The hubs ask when I’d be moving a mattress in the space because I’m in my closet 24/7. There is one last task to complete and it’s the most difficult, hanging the European wired chandelier.

I’ve purged my entire closet, cleaned and added additional storage to help me with organizing my pretties. I hope to have the closet completed by my birthday, March 20th so hold on to your panties, the big reveal is coming soon and since you’ve been so patient with me, I think it’s only fair that I give you a sneak peek of one of the areas in my closet where I’ve painted and positioned the chest that I found a few weeks ago.

I used my favorite paint, Velvet Finishes color, Minimalistic.

I love how step three, Protect, created an antique patina and shine to the chest. Velvet Finishes paint is so awesome because this chest had some ruff texture from weather damage and with Velvet Finishes, there’s no sanding required.

The three step process takes care of all the prep work. VF is so easy! Just spray a generous amount of step one, Ready, then wipe it dry with a soft cloth. This allows the paint to adhere evenly. Next, apply the Paint. Just slap it on! Y’all, you don’t even have to be particular. I used three coats (two is plenty) but like I said, this chest had a rocky past life. Allow the coats to dry in between each application. Once the paint is dry, Apply a generous amount of step three, Protect the with a brush. Let it dry and you’re done!

I filled my chest with under garments, socks, jeans, t-shirts and swim wear. I’m loving all the additional storage this chest provides.

I kept the brass pulls since brass is in and the pulls were in excellent condition.
