My husband and I were blessed with a new home seven years ago. We lived in our previous home for over 23 years and even though the space was a mere 1000 square feet, we loved every inch of it. The house was jammed packed with years of collectables. I developed a love for antiques and all things that remind me of my childhood and my husband can’t resist a yard sale. If I had to choose a style I would say I am traditional with a little “whatever I like” thrown on top. Family and friends used the terms of cozy, artsy, homey, but what they were really thinking was, “why do they have so much stuff piled into this tiny space?” When we decided to build our dream home, we vowed not to purchase any furniture or accessories. Instead, we used what we had to make the house feel loved. To our surprise, we furnished most of the home with our current belongings and started entertaining right away.
We have not completed a single room but we are enjoying every moment and adding comfort and our style, bit by bit. Welcome to our home.
