I’ve been on a roller coaster of emotions, transitioning this once catchall room into my dream guest bedroom and I can say the ride was worth ever bump, scream and shout. I’m so proud to welcome friends and family over for a home away from home experience. The room turned out so much lovelier than I ever imagined and I can’t wait to share the reveal with you…in just a bit.  The pretty is below but let’s take a look at where this  One Room Challenge started.
Week One- The Project.  This was my sons room and he didn’t care squat about how he kept or left this room. Any of you who’ve experienced return home child syndrome, you know the drill.

Week Two- The design and mood board.

Week Three-  The paint party that fell short.
Week Four- Vacation and panic.
Week Five- Big progress and changes.

Enough with the babbling and now to the good stuff.

The Reveal!

The desk and night stands were given a facelift with Velvet Finishes Paint.

I absolutely love how the carnival tassels by Smith Honig added whimsy to the curtains.

My idea was to fill the room with lots of color and I believe I accomplished my goal with these throw pillows

I love making my guest feel right at home with treats and beverages.

Thanks to Velvet Finishes Paint and Smith Honig for sponsoring this post with their paint line and home accessories. Please read my complete disclaimer, here.

I can honestly say “I’m ready for the spring One Room Challenge! Yes, you just read my commitment to another design dilemma waiting to be tackled.
