It’s Fall y’all! There’s even a nip in the air. I was beginning to think we might skip fall and jump right into winter and I would not be thrilled in the least! I’m looking forward to the cozy evenings on the patio with the fire place blazing and hot apple cider to sip on.
I plan to pull out our patio throws and stock up on firewood now that I’m finished creating fall vignettes
Around the house. I love decorating for fall because my home is filled with the colors of autumn so when it’s time to add some fall touches, I just set out my pumpkins that I’ve collected over the years and add a few budget friendly new items to welcome the season in style.
Creating vignettes is a great way to not go gung-ho with fall decorating. Just a few collected items here and there and presto…fall has fallen into place. I created several vignettes in areas where we often gather by grouping one to three items together.
Remember to always start with shopping your home and stash of seasonal items first.
I’ve had these pumpkins for ages and each year they find a corner to rest for the season.
Add lots of layers with throw pillows and cozy throws.
I purchase this plaid pillow and white pumpkin, recently and this fall leaf one last year from Home Goods.
Fresh pumpkins are great but decorative ones can be used year after year.
The Dollar Tree had a fabulous fall selection of pumpkins and I stocked up on a few. They are “cute as apple pie” and help to create a lovely vignette.
Light the candles and smell the spice!
Candles are a great way to welcome fall and I have several burning with scents of pumpkin, spice and vanilla.
Decorate with apples, oranges and pears.
This cake plate was the best investment ever. I use it all year to display fruit for the season and it’s easy peasy, the kind of decorating I love.
Until next time,
Enjoy!
