Hello Friday and Friends! I’m always ready for the weekend but I have to admit this week has been pretty awesome with my birthday celebration. As I’m writing this post, I’m loving the sweet smell of the floral arrangement my niece sent to me for my birthday. I placed the vase on my desk to enjoy the beautiful burst of spring colors and the intoxicating nector of the Stargazer Lilies.
Faux flowers have come a long way but there is simply no subsitution for the real thing. Earlier this week, I added this vase of two-toned pink tulips for a touch of spring to my office refresh. Tip– Decorate with fresh flowers from your local market to bring spring into your space.

I struggle with creating a functional yet stylish look in my office because this space has four functions. I work full time and my work office is my home office. My blog, supplies for my bath and body products are stored here and we use this space as a guest bedroom. I’ve tried several pieces of furniture to hold my printer and store office supplies but nothing seemed to work until I spotted this Mersman credenza at my new flea market. Tip– All thrifted furniture needs is a good paint job or oil rub and a new home. I scored this gorgeous piece for $20.00. I knew it would be a perfect replacement piece for the office. I added storage boxes to hide my office supplies.

I replaced the winter throw and pillows on the sofa for these blue, white and cream ones to brighten up the space. The art work on the walls switched places. Tip– #designertrick.

I gave the office a good spring cleaning and this was all it took to make my office look refreshed and ready for spring.
