It’s month end and tomorrow starts the second quarter of 2018! I can think of so many things to celebrate like warmer temperatures, BBQ’s in the backyard, flip flops and sundresses…all of my favorite things. I brushed up on my baby talk this weekend while spending time with my precious new grand baby! I video taped some of our conversations and I sound absolutely ridiculous! I can’t help it y’all, all his wide mouth gum smiles, melt my heart.

During Valentino’s (Lolli’s love) possum naps, I freshened up our sitting area for the spring and summer by adding fresh flowers, spring pillows and the statement color of spring…white.

The rug in this area has red tones and I wanted something a little more spring like so I went shopping around the house and all of a sudden, I spotted this oversized granny square Afghan on a chair and a light bulb in my eclectic brain went off!

An Afghan for a rug?? Yep, I layered it over the existing rug to give it more stability and WOWZA, pops of color bled all over my floor! Mission accomplished, for free.

I added these milk glass wine goblets to the bar cart and brought in some blue and white from my B&W stash. Tip: Moving items to new locations in the home is an old designer hack. It’s fun and #free.

I added this new cacti throw pillow that was gifted to me, with my existing piles of fluff…for more impact. Tip: Purchase throw pillows in colors that transition into all seasons.

I added spring magazines, fresh smelling candles and these screaming spring florals from Trader Joe’s. Ahhh, I think it’s tea time.
