Happy Mother’s Day to all you incredible women! At this time, my son has not solicited any plans from me to celebrate Mother’s Day and I am patiently waiting…deep breath! Honestly, being a Mom is my greatest gift although a gift card from Kendra Scott or White House Black Market, will sweeten the deal. Son, if you are reading this post, no worries about being creative, Mama’s got you covered! pssss (tip inserted above) 🙂
One thing is for sure, this weekend is all about Mama. Hang your apron on it’s hook, post up your kitchen closed sign and let the laundry multiply. I’m one step ahead of you…I hung my kitchen closed sign up earlier this week, right after I sprinkled a few spring touches in the kitchen!

With just a few bucks, I’ve welcomed spring into the main hub of our home. I made a run to my local Trader Joe’s, grabbed two bunches of flowers for $3.99 each then set them around for a pop of color.

I didn’t even bother to create a fancy bouquet, I randomly trimmed the stems and dropped them in vases for a casual feel.

I love decorating with fruit in the kitchen.

These citrus favorites hang out in the kitchen to add another layer of décor to the space. When I want to make a refreshing glass of lemonade, I grab a couple of lemons and limes from this bowl and get my squeeze on.

A girl can’t have too many tea towels and I have my share for every season. Tip: Seasonal tea towels add a whimsical feel to the kitchen.

I added animal crackers to this apothecary jar for a great grab and go treat. Tip: You can have 17 crackers for 120 calories! That’s a no guilt treat my friends!

This faux lavender plant looks soooo real and I don’t have to worry about killing it! Tip: Mix fresh and faux flowers together to keep something green around all the time.

I changed out my kitchen candle to bring in the scents of the season and I’m loving this Caribbean Coconut candle I picked up from Home Goods.

Now my kitchen is ready for spring and just in time for my Mother’s Day weekend hiatus.
