My love for stylish chairs continues to be fed with great finds for me to makeover and pass on to other chair lovers. When I found this chair it already had a horrible white spray paint job so turning it back to it’s original wood beauty was out of the question.

Look at all the pretty details where the paint would need to be painfully removed!

That’s when my all time favorite paint, Velvet Finishes came to the rescue.

To make this job almost effortless, I chose the color Minimalistic, a lovely farmhouse white. I used the simple three step process Velvet Finishes recommends to achieve the best results from their paint line.

Put away your sanding gear and jump right to the first step, Ready. Spray this product on and wipe it over the project to remove any dirt and prepare the wood to receive the second step which is the Paint color. I gave this chair two coats even though one would have done the trick. After I allowed the paint to dry, I brushed on the final step, Protect, this step provides a protective barrier against dings and scratches and adds a beautiful shine.

I use Velvet Finishes for several of my paint projects and I’m always pleased with the results. This little darling beauty is currently sitting in my entry for now but I have design thoughts of moving it all over the house until it travels to a new home.
