I am so excited to share my newly organized closet with you. One of my obstacles in life is keeping my closet tidy. I’m constantly coming up with ways to be more organized and in a few weeks, I’m back to messy closet syndrome all over again. Over the holidays, I was determined to put an end to my crazy closet cycle, so I sat down and came up with a system I felt like I could live with. I took an inventory of my shoes and filled several bags with too tight, too high, too ugly, too worn out and “what was I thinking when I bought these.” Then I tackled my clothes with one purpose in mind, removing any garment I haven’t worn in 18 months. I donated the good items to charity and trashed the ones that were not worth giving away. I will purge again in the spring, but for now just these two de-cluttering steps made a world of difference. I purchased a few black and white bins from IKEA to help with organization and a few prints to hang on the wall. I repurposed some of my crystal and ceramic candy dishes to display my jewelry which places everything in plain view for getting dressed. Now I have a place for my flats, scarves, pocketbooks and a secret place for my chocolate fix. Best of all, I’m keeping it organized and my life feels less chaotic.

Enjoy,

MJ
