My plans were to have my favorite spaces in our home spruced up for springtime and long before my birthday.

Well, all sorts of things got in the way and before I knew it, I’m in the mist of the season without a spring sighting in sight! I’m glad I can step outside and enjoy my garden and all the flowers blooming there.

I shared my love for perennials on my last post with tips on growing the perfect forever flowers. You can read about how to grow perennials, here. I’m the first to say all it takes is a couple of spring bouquets, fresh linens and throws tossed around to make it feel like sunshine inside.

I went to work on creating a spring and summer feel in our bedroom this week and I was determined not to break the bank. I’ve been gathering new bedding for the past few months and everything I purchased was on sale. I’m talking big sale.

I love Pottery Barn but they can be pricy without a super sale tag dangling from their product line so I keep an eye out for their super sale and when my favorite finds hit rock bottom prices, I jump at the chance to have quality bedding at budget friendly prices and 75% off this quilt, euro sham and duvet spells S C O R E!

I took a note from their style guide by rolling back the duvet and piling on the pillows with no perfect placement in mind. Pillows from my stash, of course.

Fresh flowers from my favorite flower mart, Trader Joe’s and that’s a wrap for our spruced up spring bedroom on a budget.

Tip– Shop bedding during white sales and at the end of the season. This quilt was a winter item but the colors and weight of the fabric work for spring and summer.
