What is it about linens that excite me? I really can’t explain it other than it’s the small touches that make all the difference. Having a nice cloth on your table or linen napkins folded and placed for your guest to unfold and lay in their laps, relays a message to your guest that they are special. I’ve been scouring the flea markets and garage sales for years gathering beautiful table cloths and napkins with embroidered handwork, crochet and monogramed embellishments. I just look for ones that are pretty including the ones with a few tea stains and monograms that are not my initials. They make for great conversation during dinner.  If you prefer a more modern look, turn to stores that cater to new linens.
