Welcome to the first installment of Wednesday’s Closet Tips, 2016. I’m excited about sharing my tips on mixing and matching my wardrobe. So many of you have commented on how much you love these posts and I get tickled because I’m not a fashion blogger by any stretch of the imagination. I love fashion like every other woman on the planet but I do not like to shop for clothes. Honestly, I go clothes shopping maybe four times a year. I shop when the seasons change because that’s when I find the best bargains.

Dillard’s Department Stores New Year’s Day, wild and crazy sale is one I don’t miss. This sale is a monster and you have to be willing to put your boxing gloves on if you want to leave with some real bargains. My friend Shelly from Confetti Style  shared her tips on shopping The Dillard’s New Year’s One Day  sale and I took her advice. Be sure to check out Shelly’s tips and save them for next year. This chic-a- dee is a pro at shopping and scoring the best deals.

Today, I’m wearing a pair of grey and black plaid Hue leggings, I bought at the Dillard’s sale for $13 bucks. They are soft as a barrel of cotton. This summer long tee with “Lord Have Mercy” scrolled across the front, is long enough to cover my backside. An absolute must!

I layered with this black tent sweater I picked up at Francesca’s during their sale. I added these super comfortable suede booties and some lots of jewels. That’s a wrap my friends. Have a happy hump day!
