Hello August! My bottom lip is pooched out with the thought of summer coming to an end. I know lots of y’all are over the heat and bidding summer farewell. I get it but I’m a sun loving worshiper and as long as I have a glass of sweet iced tea or water, I’m good. I also adore dining al fresco and summer is the perfect

time to find a cool shady spot in our forest out back, for a romantic dinner. We already have a picnic table in the woods and since it is plastic and metal, we leave it there without having to worry about dragging it inside when the seasons change.#alfrescodining
All I do is give it a clean wipe down and I’m ready to set the table. Since the picnic area is a few hundred (give or take) steps from the house, I fill a basket with the items I need to set the table like plates, napkins, flatware, glasses, a tablecloth and pretties, then head to the woods.

I like to mix my tableware with outdoor and indoor goods to create an upscale dining experience. Remember, this is suppose to be romantic. First, I place the tablecloth on the table, then start layering with place settings, fresh flowers, wine, pillows and music.

I like to start with fresh fruit and a cheese tray. Then I keep the meal simple by serving a robust salad with poultry or fish and finish the meal with chocolate fudge bars and candlelight under the stars.#alfrescodining#outdoordining#diningalfresco#alfrescodining#alfrescodining#alfrescodining#alfrescodining
p.s. don’t forget the bug spray!
Do you like to dine al fresco? I would love to hear from you.

Enjoy!!
