As promised, here is another chapter from our trip to Europe this past summer. I’ve shared some memories of Rome, Monaco and Cannes in my previous blogs and now here is our night out in Barcelona, celebrating hubby, Donald’s birthday. We wanted to go somewhere special for the evening but you can’t go wrong no matter what restaurant you choose in Spain. The food is phenomenal. I did a bit of research and found this tiny little family owned place recommended by my nephew, Restaurant Can Pineda.

We thought about taking the metro but then decided to splurge and take a taxi since we were celebrating another year of life for Donald, who is a cancer survivor. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were thrilled because there was only one other table occupied and we knew we would receive great service. Our meal consisted of oxtails, calamari, and a special fish found only in the mediterranean sea. Three hours later, we were having after dinner drinks with the owner, waiter and chef. If you ever have the opportunity to dine at Restaurant Can Pineda, you will be blown away by the five-star service, food and atmosphere. Here is a glimpse of our meal and our evening.
