I love hanging out with my bestie, especially when we plan a Girls Get Away from our daily routines. It’s been a minute since we’ve spent quality girl time together and with so much going on in our lives, It’s not easy coordinating our schedules so I raised my hand to plan our next trip! I’m having so much fun searching for the perfect place to wine, dine and unwind…on a budget.

Our Southern Girls Get Away is much needed and well deserved and I figured a few more friends might agree so I’ve invited other friends and their bestie to join us. Since most of my friends are southern ladies, I want our trip to be located somewhere in the south. I found lots of wonderful places to pick from and they all offered great adventure, food, fun and shopping #asoutherngirlsdream! When organizing a group trip here are some tips to keep in mind. 1. Gather ideas from the participants before picking the destination. 2. Keep a friendly budget in mind so the trip will be more desirable for all. 3. Plan activities for all but pack in lots of free time so no one feels #schedulelitous. 4. Put together a lovely packet to include things to do, where to eat, where to stay and a contact list of all the participants. I finally settled on

St.Augustine, FL.

St. Augustine boast about being the oldest town in Florida. After researching the city I was sold on the white sand beaches, antique stores, seafood, two premium outlets for our retail therapy and a small town feel. Everything we are looking for and more. Here are some top contenders I considered. I have visited several of these places and look forward to returning so I’m keeping them on the radar for our next adventure.

Austin Spa Resort, TX

This resort is tucked in the Texas Hill Country down a winding country road that dead ends into Lake Austin. I spent four glorious days here all by my lonesome and I have to say it was the best therapy I have ever experienced.

New Orleans, LA
#mjonesstyle #neworleans
For those who want fabulous food and party like a rock star, New Orleans is the place to be.

Fredericksburg, TX
#mjonesstyle #fieldofbluebonnets
Fredericksburg is known for their year round festivals. How about a black-eyed pea and cornbread cook off or a history lesson on German culture during their heritage weekend? I visited during their peach celebration and went peach crazy.

Waco, TX
#magnolias#chipandjoannagaines#wacotexas#thesilos
Chip and Joanna Gaines put this little Texas town on the map with their Fixer Upper show. You will love their new Magnolia store, bakery and the refurbished silos.

Salado, TX. Skilled glass blowing artisans are still creating breathtaking hand blown glass at the famous Salado Glassworks. quaint restaurants and antique stores are plentiful in old downtown Salado.

Southern Living put together a list of southern girls get away and these are my favorite picks.

Fair Hope, AL

The other French Quarter where you feast on French cuisine and sample olive oil, balsamic vinegar from different regions. Have a relaxing stay at the Marriott Grand Hotel Spa.

Highlands, NC

Old Edwards Inn & Spa. In the heart of downtown. luxury European guestrooms and cottages all tucked in to a magnificent mountain views.

Plenty of fresh seafood, live music and Cajun culture.
